Delivery 

Order by 5:00 pm for delivery the next business day and on Saturdays. Delivery will be via personal courier. We don't deliver on public holidays or Sundays.


Sending within South Australia

As a small business, The Hamper Specialist is committed to providing the best possible prices with low margins. There will be a delivery fee on top of the item price due to the time taken to 'deliver happiness'. The Hamper Specialist uses a courier company or personal couriers to make the delivery. Please make sure you supply correct contact details for yourself and the recipient because sometimes locked gates and dogs, for example, can 'hamper' our efforts.

Please provide a residential or business address for deliveries, PO Box numbers will not be accepted for deliveries. PO Boxes can only be delivered if via Australia Post, which we can arrange for you, however, it must not contain perishables.

Sending Interstate

If you would like to send Interstate, please email us at info@thehamperspecialist.com.au to discuss and to obtain a quote for the shipping fee.

The Hamper Specialist is committed to 'delivering happiness' to everyone. Interstate sending will be sent through Australia Post or similar and will incur an extra fee on top of the item price. 

Nappy cakes may also be sent interstate with an extra fee depending on the height and weight of the gift.

  

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges start at $15, and will increase in price depending on where the gift is being sent.

We realise the importance of getting your gift to the recipient as soon as possible so we will deliver on the date you have chosen on your order. We go above and beyond to ensure your gift is delivered personally, and with care. If there are any factors we should know when delivering, please let us know what may 'hamper' us, ie locked gates, apartments, nowhere safe to leave, delivering to a business etc.

Where we are not able to make the delivery due to a wrong address, or are worried about leaving the gift due to no safe place, or the weather (e.g. heat, heavy rain) we will not leave the gift and will contact you via email or telephone as soon as practical. Where a re-delivery is required it will incur an additional delivery fee and will be rescheduled for another day.

 

No specific delivery time can be guaranteed as we work on a route system and there may be other factors outside of The Hamper Specialist's control such as road works/closures. The Christmas rush, for example, can sometimes delay us. If delivering to a business, please note that on your order so we can plan to arrive at the business prior to closing time.

We will attempt to deliver to businesses prior to 5:30pm and home addresses prior to 7pm (excludes other occasions i.e. Christmas, Mother's Day, road works, etc.)


Delivery Times

Packages that are sent by ''freight'' can take between 2-10 business days depending on the destination. Once we arrange postage, we cannot guarantee arrival date but we will track the package and let you know once it has arrived.

 

Sundays & Public Holidays
We are closed on all public holidays so do not process orders or deliver on Sunday or Public Holidays. 
We will process orders, make deliveries on the next available business day.
We would like to have some time off to keep the new ideas flowing...Thanks for your understanding. :-)

Hospital Deliveries

Whilst we deliver to all hospitals, most hospitals will not permit us to deliver directly to the patient and we are required to leave the item at the nurses' station/reception. We have no control over when the item will be handed to the patient once it has been left at the nurses' station/reception.

Also be aware that some hospitals may discharge patients earlier than expected so will incur a re-delivery fee if it needs to be redirected to a home address.

We do not send gifts to interstate hospitals as we cannot guarantee it will arrive to the recipient. In that case, it is best to provide us a home address.

If there is a failed delivery the gift will be returned to us and the buyer will be contacted to arrange re-delivery of the gift. This means an additional delivery fee will apply and will be scheduled for another day.

PO Boxes

Gifts Baskets and/or Hampers cannot be delivered to PO Boxes unless they are sent via Australia Post, which we can arrange for you. Please email us at info@thehamperspecialist.com.au


Christmas Deliveries/ Dates/ Orders

Plan ahead for holiday operating hours – and ship early when possible. 

Although we make every effort to deliver with the same transit times as the rest of the year, we can't guarantee Country or Interstate shipments sent during the two weeks before Christmas due to unusually high volumes.

A good rule of thumb is to allow ten business days for ground shipments during those last two weeks, particularly for long distances; your shipment may arrive sooner of course! 

For any corporate orders in excess of 10 items, please allow us at least 2 business days' notice to prepare.


Out of Stock Item

If an item within the Gift Basket is out of stock i.e. a particular colour is on the photograph or e.g. a teether included - We will always try and replace with a similar, equal or greater value product. 

Refunds & Returns

Refunds - will take 3 to 5 business days to return into your account, depending on your financial institution's processing times.

Excludes sales items and delivery charges.



General Delivery Terms and Conditions

  • Gifts Baskets and Hampers will be delivered to the address provided by you. 
  • Where possible, we recommend delivery to a business address if you know the recipient works full-time and is unlikely to be home to receive it.
  • Please double check your email confirmation e.g. that you have typed a ''message'', the spelling (especially if using mobile), the recipient's name and details are correct, as well as the delivery date required.
  • If we are given an incorrect address, or can't gain access to the property, and we need to re-deliver the gift to a different address, or reattempt the delivery, an additional delivery charge will apply and the delivery will be rescheduled on a different date.
  • If you have arranged a delivery and selected YES to leaving the gift and the recipient is not home, the gift will be left in the location that the courier believes to be the most secure at that address. We cannot be held responsible for stolen goods.
  • If the courier does not believe there is a secure enough location to leave the gift, they cannot access the property (e.g. Locked Gates & Dogs) or in extreme weather (e.g heat/heavy rain), the gift will be returned to us. We will then contact you as soon as practicable to discuss payment of a re-delivery fee. In that case, we cannot guarantee the re-delivery of the gift will be processed straight away.
  • If you have selected NO for leaving the gift, we will attempt to deliver to the address provided, however if no answer, the gift will be returned to us. We will then contact you to discuss payment of a re-delivery fee.
  • For country deliveries some items may be substituted to avoid products being heat damaged, due to the amount of time they will be in transit.
  • All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable.
  • International Customers please place orders at least 2 business days' in advance to allow for time zone differences.
  • While we endeavor to ensure pictures on the site are up to date, as a small business, this isn't always possible as suppliers change packaging regularly, or discontinue stock often. We recommend making sure you read the items included in the description and not just rely on the picture.
  • Nappy Cake wraps of good quality have proved difficult to source of late, so the general theme of the nappy cake will be followed (pink, blue, neutral), not necessarily the exact wraps as pictured. We still guarantee great quality and an impressive gift!
